Brevard’s best all ‘round party band RockIT will be pirate partyin’ down with ye hearties at the Pirates at the Pier event starting at 9 pm.

Sea songs (called chanties or shanties) were vital to the survival and labor efforts of our hardened pirate brethren. The chanties, led by chantymen or shantymen, helped the men work together in coordinated efforts on long voyages – and gave the men a humorous way to make their mutinous complaints as well. Life aboard ship was no easy task, but once the work was done and the ship was safely in port, these fearless crews knew how to have a good time!

Our ship’s chanties will be led by Brevard’s best all around party band RockIT. RockIT regularly rocks the Space Coast, Orlando and beyond with their impressive playlist including Lynard Skynard, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Santana and more. Plus, this crew will play for us and WITH us – they love to don their pirate gear and dance the hempen jig!

Not to be outdone, Pyrates of the Coast will once again be bringing their unique and authentic “piratical entertainment” to our Pirates at the Pier event.  No pirate party worth its salt would happen without these lively hands.  Start your adventure early in the afternoon by enjoying the Pyrates’ sea shanties performed on the deck of Marlin’s Sports Bar at the Cocoa Beach Pier.

Tickets to Pirates at the Pier entertainment are $10 general admission after 9 pm and include a draft beer or rum punch.
